Democrat Patrick Kelly, a former police officer who’s been a public servant since 1977, serving in various roles -- from the Avon and Westlake police to being an elected councilman-at-large in his hometown of North Olmsted -- is seeking his second term on Cuyahoga County Council from District 1. The district encompasses five West Side suburbs: Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Rocky River and Westlake.
