
CLEVELAND, Ohio — About 35 years ago, I failed my very strong young daughter (it wasn’t the only time). She had started arm wrestling whoever would put their elbow on a table. She won more often than not. Sadly, I cautioned her about arm wrestling boys besides her brothers because it would likely hurt their feelings when she pinned them down. I discouraged her from owning her own power.
